How We Do It
Our Story
Spiritual Intervention Ministries is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping New Americans overcome the challenges of identity and personal hardship through spiritual solutions. The story of the Spiritual Intervention Ministry begins in 2019 when Elizabeth Lou witnessed the many displaced African refugees and immigrants struggling with trauma, cultural shocks, and loneliness as they navigated a land and society in which they felt out of place. Turning to her inner convictions as a Christian, she felt called to address the challenges that the New Americans faced, and the establishment of the SIM in San Diego was her solution.
At SIM, our mission is to foster a supportive community for African refugees and immigrants by addressing trauma, cultural shock, and economic difficulties through culturally sensitive and spiritually grounded.. interventions. We aim to empower individuals to thrive and contribute to society in positive and practical ways by bringing them the message and healing of Christ
What We Do
We combine religious, social, and emotional aspects in our efforts and foster a community that provides emotional support to first-generation and African immigrant families who are impacted by domestic violence, cultural shocks, and ostracization. We identify families affected by
